Makeup Brush Help

Since I'm going to be buying a set soon, it's time to start collecting that inspiration.

Loving these lip colors

I really want to get more into lipstick. I'm thinking that I may need to invest into some kind of lip scrub treatment so that my lips don't get so dry when I wear it.

Makeup Brushes

I'm thinking about getting a set of makeup brushes. I only have a few of them at the moment and they are... not so great. I don't like them much at all. I'm not surprised because they are a cheap set that I got with an order of makeup, so it's not like I am complaining. You get what you pay for, and in this case I paid nothing so I got nothing good.

I found this site that has some recommendations on the best makeup brushes sets and there is a good variety of different things to choose from. I already have a better idea of what brands I should be looking at. I think the thing that I am most torn about at the moment is whether or not I should get a set of brushes, or buy them individually. With a set I can get a ton of different things to experiment with for a better price, but with individual brushes I can buy the things that I think are necessary a splurge a little more on each one. Hmmm. I guess I'll have to think on it a little more.

My Daily Makeup Routine

When it comes to makeup, I like to keep it simple. That's not because I believe that simple is better. It's because I don't have the skills to do anything that is more advanced or complicated. I'm fairly new to wearing makeup regularly, and I am still learning my way around everything. So until I know more about how to do everything without making myself look like a clown, here is what I like to do on daily basis.

The first thing I do is moisturize. I get my face all ready before I put any makeup on. I usually do this quite some time before ever put any makeup on because I like to moisturize right after I wash my face in the morning.

I usually don't wear foundation. Sometime I do, and that's if I am feeling like experimenting a bit more. If I'm not wearing foundation I'll put a bit of BB cream on or I won't put anything on at all.

Next is my favorite part of putting on makeup: concealer. The reason I love concealer so much is because I feel that it is the one that that can really make a difference on the face. Covering up all of the marks and imperfections can give you a fresher look without wearing too much of anything else. There are days where I may just dab some concealer on and not wear anything else.

Once my face is concealed I set everything with powder and move on to my eyes. A lot of times I skip out on eyeshadow all together. If I am in the mood, I'll put a simple neutral shade over the entire lid and not do much else. Recently I have been wearing liquid liner, which I love. I line my top eye and do a small little wing on the outer corner. Then I curl my lashes and apply some mascara to both the top and bottom.

To finish off my look I dab a small amount of cream blush to my cheeks and that's about it. I don't always wear lip product because my lips chap pretty easily, so I'll finish it off with a bit of lip balm, and if I'm feeling really crazy that day some... lip gloss! And that's my whole routine
